Slate article lambasts infant gender assignment - Turnaround - 06-28-2014

http://www.slate.com/blogs/outward/2014/...rmful.html

This piece isn't QUITE as stupid as you'd think. The author admits that the vast majority of children would "turn out like we'd expect" without any gender conditioning from birth, which at least acknowledges innate behavioral differences between the sexes. That puts her further along than most feminists.

Still, her thesis rests on the ridiculous premise that a transgendered person would be spared the negative consequences if only the doctor didn't assign a gender at birth... as though men would have no problem dating a 'girl' who has a dick.

Slate article lambasts infant gender assignment - Basil Ransom - 06-28-2014

The article is flawed because it neglects the anguish of sexual confusion a man or woman would feel by identifying as the opposite sex, or not identifying with either aka androgyny. Just imagine the trouble a man would have with meeting women if he was highly effeminate.

I hear far more men speaking positively of becoming more masculine than I do of men becoming more feminine. Pastimes like weight lifting and martial arts are highly respected and appreciated by the men who do them.

So the author is an unrelenting liar, consciously or not.

How the same website can publish both these articles is beyond me.
