I've also pointed out that the media MISuse the phrase "single mother" for similar agenda-driven reasons. By putting women ranging from war widows to divorcees under the blanket term "single mom," is way to make people unable to judge actual single moms who might have made bad decisions as to who to conceive with.
Language manipulation is a sign of a media that seeks to manipulate, not educate. I'd urge all the RVF members to look out for this sort of thing. Editors make sure everyone chooses their words carefully. So if some idea seems ill-conceived to you, it's probably been tweaked that way on purpose.

I was criticizing the media's use of the phrase. It's in the story -- and the headlines I also saw of this everywhere else. I am a media veteran and my informal job around here (of sorts) is picking apart bias and figuring out why stories are or aren't framed a certain way.

Women always jockey for position in these kinds of photos. The girl on the left of the Russian t-shirt guy looks to be the queen bee.
It makes me wonder if this pecking order had something to do with why he chose to throw her off the roof. Of course, situational stuff is probably much more of a factor but it would be interesting to have been a fly on the wall.

How often does their agent send them out on auditions?
Which magazines are they appearing in or commercials?
Do they mostly do runway work(new york, los angeles, milan, paris/ winter/spring/summer/fall), commercial print or trade shows? which ones and when?
If they are trying to be a model in the usa, they will probably be in new york, los angeles or miami, if they don't live in one of those towns, ask them why, because that is where the work is

Janice called in to "TMZ Live" Friday to discuss Wednesday's accident after they posted video on their site -- and even though she danced around the subject of her lawyer ... it definitely looks like she's was being coached.
