what kind of characteristics should i look for in choosing a good wingman? because not just any of my friends would work

A. You have to be on the same page in terms of game
- what venue you go to.
- who gets who
- who drives to the vneue
- who's designated driver
- if one hooks and the other doesn't
- who runs interference

B. And the 2 of you have to be roughly equivalent in terms of "look".

1) Cause you'll get judged by the company you keep.
2) Her cockblocking friend wants something similara

I've only had a wingman a handful of times...sometime it's cool, other times it's not.

One who doesn't cockblock. It's the most basic of requirements but it's surprisingly hard to find.
