Air BnB - Negotiating Rooms - Teedub - 12-20-2013

I was just looking at rooms in Poland on Air Bnb and recall that some of you have managed to get much lower rates for the month than what was listed. If for example the person states they want £500 for example, what would you then offer?

Also, for those who end up staying longer, how easy have you found it to transition from that sort of setup into a more long term apartment?

Finally, on an unrelated note, for the perma-travellers among you: What do you do vis-a-vis phones? Do you get a new phone in each country or do you just use one of those unlocked quad band ones that work anywhere, and just change the SIM?
