I'm pretty sure this is a parody site and Adora Bull ("adorable" -- get it??) is a jokey pseudonym for a writer. And I think the suicide watch thing was a gag.
The site seems to be a takeoff on both the leftist hipster women's Web sites and the right wing women's sites. Sample headlines: "5 New Reasons To Be Unhappy With Your Vagina" and "Trending Now – Ear Stretching For Babies & Children."
The recent "controversy" seems to be a play on how the Return of Kings "Eating Disorders" post played out. IMO they read about the Web traffic and tried to engineer a similar situation.
The bio for one of the writers states she wrote a book called “The States Of Shame: Living As A Liberated Womyn In America” appeared on Oprah’s Book Club and quickly went bestseller shortly thereafter." There is obviously no such book.
