I canceled my cable earlier this year, but when I had it, Locked Up Abroad was one of the only shows I'd go out of my way to watch. I actually know a guy who went through a 2 year stint in a foreign prison for a crime he didn't commit. He could've easily been a candidate for this show. Shit probably happens way more than we'd imagine.

Devoted watcher here. There are some meh episodes, like one about a car thief who got caught but there was no international angle. The moments of tension as mules go through airports are unlike anything else on TV, though.

I wonder what will happen with the 2 young Brit girls who got caught in Lima last month... they were like, bringing stuff from Peru to Ibiza, if I well remember what I read in the papers... Poor girls got used, conned... it seems. They will get, what, 3 or 5 years in a Peruvian jail? doesn't beat living the high life in Ibiza, you ask me.
