Greatest Video Game you haver played - Mentavious - 07-08-2013

At least during my high school/college years my peers enjoyed playing video games. While I don't play as much now, I do plan on getting the PS4 and most likely going on a gaming binge this winter.

So what's everyones favorite collection of video games from say...1990 and on?

My favorites included:

Metal Gear Solid, GTA, Final Fantasy and NFL Madden.

Rumor has it the PS4 will be around 400. Is this true? I don't even know what the upgraded hardware will be but the blue ray alone makes it worthy of purchase.

Star Control 2. You can download it for free now. Probably the greatest game I've ever played.

I use to hustle fighting games in college, so if you appreciate that kind of thing and understand the finer details of playing fighting games for money, then Aquapazza and Guilty Gear XXAC are the two greatest games ever for hustling scrubs in money matches and tournaments.

Final Fantasy VII on PS1




I don't play videogames any more, but as an 80's baby I can remember how this changed gaming and how epic it felt to play through it at the time.




From the FMVs and soundtrack, to the characters and sheer depth of possible journeys, FFVII raised the bar for everything that followed it, and exposed a whole new demographic to RPGs.

When arcades were big I use to kill people in Killer Instinct. Dudes use to lineup to fight me when I played as Glacier or the werewolf character.

I would use Jago or Cinder, the level backgrounds were pretty cool in that game at the time too. I just recently watched a vid about how they are doing a series reboot for the new gen.
