Pretty cool personal profile from the NYT. This guy went from being kicked out of Nirvana and Soundgarden as they were making it big, to becoming a Green Beret, and now, a philosophy major at Columbia University. I would love to sit down and have a few beers with this guy.
You know the guy definitely has a colorful personality when Kurt Cobain, so mentally tormented that he ended up killing himself, describes him as a head case.

Perversely, some people who have problems with authority are drawn to the military - the rules are clearer.
