Yelp Word Map Shows Where Hipsters (and others) Hang Out - Menace - 07-05-2013
Yelp has used its data to come up with city maps showing where people in certain sub categories are likely to be found, i.e. hipster, yuppie, etc.
Maps are available for:
Austin
Boston
Chicago
London
Los Angeles
New York
Paris
Philadelphia
Portland
San Diego
San Francisco
Seattle
Toronto
Washington DC

Not sure if this is helpful for game purposes really, but thought it was worth bringing to the collective.

Pretty cool! I did this for DC and 14th / U St. and H street were lit up. Those are (IMO) the best party spots. This would be cool on a business trip to a new city say Boston or Chicago that I don't know anything about it At least put you in the right neighborhood.

I checked out maps of NYC, LA, Paris and London. The red spots make it look like these cities are infected with some disease-carrying agents. Like the invasion of zombies or something. Scary stuff.

The New York map is spot on. In fact the whole western half of the L subway line is a hipster haven, with the epicenter being the Bedford Avenue station.
We can trash talk them sure, but being a reformed one myself, I know that they're behind the dictation of trends for many, including the hb's that chase them, tattooed or not. I wouldn't sell these areas short.

To be honest, I hate those breeds because they are cheap as fuck.
I adore hipster girls though....but hate those hipster guys with RVCA, Obey shit for some reason....

Williamsburg is hipster capital. And of course, hipsters love to head down to the Rockaways around this time, too. Quite the phenomenon.
