Nice! Yeah he definitely kicks Zuckerbergs ass. His girl looks good, and she even still works even though her man is worth a billion. Dude suits down and does it with decent style (Skinny tie, but missing the pocket square -2 points), and he definitely doesn't look like as much of a herb. He didn't even graduate high school. Props to him.

He will get married, like Jobs, Zuckerberg and Gates. Most men do. Some even do it repeatedly.
I think Elon Musk of Tesla beats both Zuckerberg and Tumblr kid when it comes to real innovation, with far-reaching societal implications. It's one thing to build a social media company. It's another thing to actually start a car company from the ground up, with innovation in the fuel source, from limited, volatile oil to unlimited electricity, and the capital investments that dove all this R&D, manufacturing, and all points on the value chain. It's still early days for Tesla but what they're doing is incredible.

$1 Billion for a company with $13 million in annual revenue? Sounds like the year 2000 all over again. How is Zuckerberg's purchase of Instagram, also for $ 1 Billion, working out for Facebook? BTW: Real question. I have no idea how it is going.

Good luck living with a chef. She must be a complete control freak. My first order of business would be ditching the bitch, going completely liquid, and disappearing off the face of the earth.

How much more access to people's online habits do these companies needs? Apparently it's really bad if they're dropping a billion bucks on them each.

this guy is smart, he knows what he is doing in life ( i believe)
High school drop outs who end up with millions are probably some of the best friends a person can have, they know how to think and hustle.
this guy shows that all those millionaires IT guy who look like crap and can't go out and find decent looking pussy just don't want to improve themselves.
I think the reason companies like Yahoo and Facebook are paying so much for those online pictures websites ( insta, tumblr) is because that's where all the good traffic goes.
what do teenage kids do online? college girls?females?
-facebook
-twitter
-instagram
-tumblr
nobody spends hours browsing through yahoo reading articles or searching stuff. Hell i'm pretty sure tumblr has more traffic than yahoo ( I might be wrong so yeah)
The "new" internet right now is all about posting dumb pictures(inst, tumblr) and writing bullshit on a wall (facebook, twitter), that's what millions of Americans are doing right now, taking pics, looking at pics, and writing dumb shit.
The internet is all about traffic, the more traffic you have, the more influence and money you make( or can make).
I don't think Facebook and Yahoo are spending their money without thinking, traffic is their subject, they know what they are doing.
when the trend of posting pic and writing nonsense will end, and something new will appear, then they will repeat the process

Online 'real estate' should be a focus for any guy regardless of their age right now. It's the best way to produce passive income with low investment and can be monitored from anywhere, giving an individual true freedom.

Its easy to run a green car company when the state of California forces your competitors to buy carbon credits from you:

BTW, I'm not against electric cars, the Tesla just seems chodish, once they start making electric Porches and Roll Royces, the Tesla will be as irrevelent as the Tucker

Mercedes debuted theirs at the NY International Car Show this year. It was so new that the reps had no price info yet, but they claim it will be priced in line with other electrics on the market, and not based on the Mercedes name. Oddly, Tesla didn't exhibit at the show...

Owning web domains that get high traffic thus producing advertising dollars. The more unique visitors = higher ad demand = more money in your pocket.
Ex. I believe Tumblr gets a few million clicks a DAY, that's why the site is worth so much.

Metrics like Market Value or GDP care not for our normative ideals of what constitutes "value." A dollar is a dollar, whether it exchanges hands for food or houses, or Louboutins or girls posting frivolous shit.
The rigidity is both a strength and a weakness of such metrics as measurements of utility.

His girlfriend's definitely cute (moreso in her first picture than the other two), but still, I couldn't help but notice:
-hipster glasses
-wrist tats
-SWPL education (graduate student in psychology...)
-masculine jaw
on a larf, I decided to google "david karp girlfriend" and the following was one of the first image hits:
yeahhhhh. She's going to get a few hundred million dollars some day, good for her.

Well, one of the articles (on Bloomberg I think) reporting on the sale claimed Tumblr only had $13 million in annual revenue. So they haven't been able to turn those clicks into (advertising) $'s. if it's going to be worth $1 billion Yahoo had better have plans to get in a lot more than $13 million per year from the site.
