Supreme protector of the tribe-- not a warrior, not a lothario, saved more lives in the 20th century than anyone else according to some of his peers.

Invented the Mumps vaccine, using a sample from his daughter when she became ill from the disease. Now 95% of Americans get the vaccine, and when a rare case of measles appears in a hospital, young doctors have to find someone over about 50 to ask if it looks like the real thing.

You have 30,000+ emails in your inbox? Damn!

And yeah, curing diseases is quite an accomplishment.

This discussion really does inspire a lot of questions.

How much do you feel the drive to leave behind a legacy on the world?

Do you feel drawn by the idea of immortality in history?

Right now I feel like I'm nowhere near knowledgeable enough to leave behind any kind of footprint, but who knows, maybe this will change with age and wisdom.

If you want to really be remembered you could always take the easy route and kill a bunch of people.

Bonus if you go on a genocidal spree.
