Starting online consulting business - first steps to getting clients - Chewbacon - 11-27-2012

Hey guys,

I am about to launch my online consulting service. It'll be focused on college admissions consulting for students from abroad (mainly China), but will also include a sizeable North America market as well. For the latter, do any of you have any tips for hustling clients? I'm pretty new to this. What would be the FIRST thing you would do to reach out to potential clients?

Invest in Google adwords and Facebok ads to drive traffic to your page.

Write a short 10-point advice sheet, and give it away in exchange of them signing up to your mailing list.

Start a mailing list.

Sell your products to your mailing list recipients.

Develop further products to keep selling to them after they are admitted to college, like study guides, or study hacks. Or even nutrituinal supplements.
