Currently finishing up this book. Basically it's a compilation of 30 years of writing about wine, culture, food, and travel. What I like about it is that the entire book is made up of short vignettes, no more than 2-3 pages.

I've been getting into wine, and this book has helped me make sense of the wine world.

Additionally, it has helped nicely with both first date game, and most interesting man in the room game. Hugely interesting if you enjoy a glass of wine occasionally.
