Just got out of the DMV where they wasted an hour of my life because of something that was ultimately their fault. At the end of the day, everything is their fault.
If you ever want to get into a guaranteed blood boiling rage, go to the DMV with a legitimate issue.
There was a lady, who I after I explained my problem, laughed a little bit and said sorry. If there is ever a fire or a bomb explodes around there. Or some guy walks in a sprays that bitch up, every single person in that building, without exception, deserves to die a slow agonizing death.

If you're in California and a member of AAA, you can get your DMV bullshit done in a AAA office in a fraction of the time.

I'll just take that as "Thanks for posting the tip, California is known for it's horrible DMV service/lines so I'm sure a lot of people will appreciate this"

Haven't had a driver's license on me in almost a year for this reason. Moved to a new state, lost the ID from my old state, and getting a new one reinstated is like traversing through Dante's nine circles of hell.

So I am kind of going through the same thing.
I had to order a
certified copy of my driver's history from the old state in order to prove I have a record and thereby skipping all the bullshit like taking tests and whatnot. They mail it to your new address and it cost me $13 dollars.
I don't know what state youre in but I would ring the dmv up in your new resident state, give them a quick rundown of your situation and see what they say. What I do is call again and speak to another fuckhead to confirm.
Then, if they do in fact need a copy of your record-- before ordering it--I would call the old state, make sure there isn't some bullshit on the record--like, saying your license is suspended when it's not-- and then confirm that with another douchebag over there, and then have them send it to you.
Your new state might not even need that if they would have your record on a computer database, because remember were not in the stone age anymore.
The only thing about it this is that something will probably go wrong anyway. HAHA thats the funny thing
Oh and remember your 600 points of ID

When I think of DMV employees, I think of Patty and Selma from The Simpsons:
Pretty accurate.

I know it's a bit of a bump, but the DMV here (MD's Glen Burnie office) is actually not bad. Last 3 or 4 times i've gone in and it's been fairly quick. 15-30 minutes, decent service, etc.
We must see why MD is better than CA or NY. We must see what is the magic DMV X factor. This deserves some sleuthing.
