I just listened to it. Yes. Especially the second one.

Brazilian Funk - speakeasy - 12-23-2009

I'd never even heard of funk before going to Brazil. I had dreams of samba and bossa and all that classic Brazilian stuff. I was like WTF when I heard this funk music. It sounds like a combination of Jamaican dance hall and Miami style rap lyrics, but even dumber.

I probably made a mistake though in not going to a funk party. Would've boosted my chances of getting laid by 50%.

Hunnnn... not really. Daddy little princesses and "whores" dances... It's like the bikini (tong): Everybody wears it. Easy to be into it. But remember, who has thoses moves for dancing, also has for... you know.
Anyway, the funk music in Brazil it is a way of life, talks not only about stupid dances, but also the slum lifestyle, relationships, social behavior e.g cheating, sex, the parties (baile funk itself) and even more concerning, the songs approving the gangs (forbidden funk). Funk music is a social report.

This one you may love:
"Eu vou ficar, eu vou trair/quem ama muito tempo não pode se divertir!"

Meaning:
"I will stay (hang out on a date), I will cheat/ who loves for too long can't have fun!"

Sounds no different than the "dirty south" rap in the U.S.

Hey Roosh, check it MC Catra out, he is the most nasty and jerk funk singer of all... LOL. It is impossible not being shocked/ROLMAO with him and u can train some butchered portuguese. As u can see, we are very creative in bad words and dirty slangs, is not just fuck this and that like english. (as far as I know)

Here's a nice coverage from special reporter Cesar Polvilho (who by the way is also the HILARIOUS Freddie Mercury prateado):

That's exactly why I put it here. To watch funny shit is the best way to learn Portuguese (Personaly, that's why I like Brazil the most in SA: the best sense of humor by far) and who the fuck would want to stay in Brazil without speaking Portuguese ? [Image: huh.gif]

Plus, if there's one thing that's funny about the carioca Eduardo Sterblitch (aka Freddie Mercury prateado aka Cesar Polvilho, etc) it's his body language:
