Hey, I live in NYC

but I want to move to south america. However, I'm aware that i need steady income to live in south america. I've been told that the job market in south america is tough, and teaching english pays very little.

does anyone recommend any career/business that would help me earn income online so i can live in south america?

I hear the cost of living in south america is lower than in the usa. So I figure earning $1000 a month in (for example, colombia) south america would be enough right?

someone told me that computer programming is a good way to live anywhere, but i've also been told that learning to program is very hard
