I Love Montreal: Data Sheet - MrRoundtree - 03-09-2014
Yeah I live right now in Cote-des-neiges/Outremont, moved there for university purposes but since graduation I always wanted to move on le Plateau or Mile-End, and i'm french canadian too, I know the area pretty well been running Mont-Royal street for the last 2-3 years.
I get the feeling that success on le Plateau is easy if you have an hipster look but with alpha traits (good muscularity, nice beard)...you will never see anyone dressed as a douchebag there compared to St-Laurent.
I never entered Taverne St-Sacrement not drunk, but I should really start being friends with the bartenders it's a nice bar, lot of 8-9 some nights. Mme Lee is a good place, at the limit of Plateau and quartier Latin, stunning girls there and the party is good on Fridays. Only place so far i've seen a friend able to get a girl in the bathroom to fuck thanks to how the bar is setup! Edgar Hypertaverne is not too bad, easy to pickup cougars there, same with Waverly.
I have yet tried the Rachel Rachel though
I dislike the fact that so many frenchies from France live on the Plateau though, jacked up the prices...although it gives a distinct european feeling to the area.

Just got back from one night in Montreal.
Incredible city to say the least, like a lot of places timing and knowing where to go is key.
The beloved Habs hockey team got smacked down hard, so this really seemed to kill the vibe in the city. Saturday night was dead, it being a long weekend meant Sunday night would have been the party night.
The women and girls in general are slim, there are loads of them to boot walking around the city. For those who have been to Europe will know how important and sexy this is.
The women and people are a lot friendlier than most places, well Toronto for sure.
A little French goes along way.
I will be returning this summer and will bust out a data sheet.

I just arrived in Montreal last night. Last night was a sunday, and I happened to stumble upon New City Gas which was hosting David Guetta. It is a huge hall and when packed it is impossible to move around on the central floor. I spent most of my time on the periphery so I could occasionally escape to get a drink or hunt. The upstairs is VIP table service. It looked nice to have room to move around, and there were some decent girls at the tables sucking down the free booze, but a lot of the table were just dudes. I personally like table service just for the real estate, but if you are getting a table, you might as well exploit it with the ladies. In Vegas, all I had to do was tell the bouncers what sort of girls I liked and they would hunt them down and bring them for the table for me. (Sorry - I am lazy) But I had a one drink minimum - if they aren't showing me the love after one drink, I have the bouncer escort them out of VIP. But I digress.....
I like EDM, and the young girls it attracts, so I went. First impressions - awesome talent. I was very very impressed. I usually go for 8+ and there were plenty there. Average girls too, but overall I thought the quality was outstanding. Of course, this is skewed a bit since most seemed under 22, but I found them to be quite friendly and approachable and all spoke english. The guys I saw were lame - no competition at all. I saw one guy suited up at the bar and he pulled the bartender's number. She was a 9 in the dark, but looked more like a 7 in the light. But nonetheless, I think an alpha male could do well here. I am not even close to that level yet, but that was my impression.
I came here for a conference so I don't care if I get a flag, but definitely plan on coming back again when I have more free time. I have a date tonight from quickly pipelining last week. One thing about Montreal, there are many girls here from places like Morocco (or maybe their parents are) and have a very attractive exotic look (which is my date tonight). This is not a place to go for blondes.

And herein lies my theory: les femmes de Montreal are on average more equipped to play to the "game" than are women in most other contending cities/countries, particularly in the USA. They have more class, are better educated, and are more versed in social settings, sex, drinking, cultural diversity and being pursued (figuratively, of course). To put it simply: they see in two dimensions where USA women see in one.
This in effect means that women in Montreal can game a gamer. I'd suspect that has at least in part contributed to the "don't go to Montreal looking for one night pulls/swoops/hits/lays" some guys have been forewarning of. A Quebecois will engage you physically and socially in ways USA and even most Euro women cannot/have not just enough to keep you on them at the bar (and after them in the days that follow) effectively gaming you. Women love to screw, but they also love control and the buildup. And, since women in Montreal understand femininity and aren't shamed by it or being sexual (unlike in the USA), they have no problem getting "slutty" with you in a club on the first night or playing the submissive/dominated role in your interactions. Where Yank women largely mistakenly view this as defeat or sacrifice of control, Quebecois women understand its power and how to use it.
I understand there are generalizations and assumptions above, but just thought I'd share the thought(s). I may have also downed one too many coffees and gins today, but I'll not make any excuse.
I'll be sure to contribute on data as it relates to clubs/bars/restaurants, but my focus will remain on the shit that won't close one day and be replaced the next day: the women and the complexity & challenges of involving one's self with them. As I said above, they seem to see in two dimensions, I expect the man who sees in four will be at least a few steps ahead.

I'll be in Montreal in June for a bit, including for St Jean Baptiste day this year (June 24th). Any specific suggestions on how best to enjoy SJB day? Will be my first time to Montreal.
Also, I haven't booked my accommodation yet. I'm debating between an airbnb apartment in Le Plateau or a private room at M Hostel which is closer to downtown and seems to have a cool hostel bar, which I like. I don't know if anyone from Toronto will come up as well, so far it's just me. Would be cool to meet some local RVF guys in Montreal.

So I've been here in MTL since Friday. 2/4 in notches so it's obviously New York (where I have a 75%+ close rate in my last two trips) still, one pretty cool city.
The one problem is that there's not much to do in the weekdays it seems (apart from Daygame that is). The city doesn't have enough sights to stay interesting for a week so I have some moments of slight boredom already. Mind you it's still better than 90% of other North American cities like Minneapolis, Philly, St Louis etc

You were there for the Grand Prix, where did you go out Vicious? I had a blast in different bars (Mckibbins and Korova on St-Laurent). It's very festive at this time of the year.
Sadly, the bars won't stay open until 6 am because of la Régie des alcools who was not prepared. I think our mayor will definitely push for it next year.
Jura, Espresso, it would be cool. I will be on rotation on that week so will have the week off. M hostel is pretty cool, nice bar in the basement. + it's fun to hit up on foreign chicks (I honestly don't know where they go in Mtl)

I stayed at the M with a friend and had a good time. We went in the fall so it may be even livelier now, and you'll meet a ton of cool people from all over. The drinks in the bar are super watered down, but cheap(need to buy your own liquor) though and they are extremely strict on bringing chicks back so keep that in mind. Its got a great location though being a fairly close major Saint Laurent street bars(less than 10 mins via taxi) and the metro. Its also a stones throw from the after hours spot Circus, but like I said any gains in logistics are negated by the cock blocking guest policy at the hostel.

Yeah I like the M. Owners are pretty chill and the bar gets busy during the summer. Too bad it's right in Quartier latin, I hate this part of Mtl, shady as F and full of homeless.
I'm not sure I'll be in town for St-Jean but anybody looking to grab a drink this weekend, let me know.

Yeah, the front desk is super close to the entrance and they have a good idea who is staying in the hostel, so they usually ask if someone is unfamiliar and what room they stay in, if they don't recognize you or something like that. I guess you could try sneaking them in, but that's an entirely different hassle.

I'm currently in the process of gathering as much information as I can, but what would experienced people here say the major differences between the summer and winter is in terms of gaming? Is there a serious disadvantage? Advantages? I'm really trying to plan out my week in la belle province.

Lived in Quebec city 25 years, now in Montreal since 7 years.
Coming to Quebec is a great choice, I consider it's one of the best place to game in the world.
Women are beautiful, playful and curious.
This being said I probably am biased by the home field advantage because I'm obviously fluent in French and English and can mix a little bit of status game, but overall having traveled at all the top game destinations in the world I believe this place is a true gem for girls, if only based on the physical average beauty that is only matched in my opinion by Norway, France and Germany (personal preference).
WINTER VS SUMMER GAME
Winter in Quebec is brutal, only Siberia and Northern Japan get as much snow than Quebec.
Quebec city climate is colder than Motnreal, some days by 10 degrees celcius, but most days by 3-4 degrees. Notable difference in winter in Quebec city were the cold gets severe and also the summer nights most Quebec city nights you need longsleeves while MTL climate in summer from late may to early September it will not dip lower than 17 celcius at night.
Montreal summer climate is very similar to NYC climate if you want a comparison.
People in Quebec go out in the winter as much as in the summer IMO, but for the logistics to pull you need to hop in a taxi when leaving, some bars in Quebec there will be a shortage and you will be left on the cold sidewalk.
Also, no street game in Qc city in the winter and less in Montreal.
Overall, game is 35% better in the summer IMO because people hang out in parks, cafés, there are many festivals.
MTL in the summer is dope, like the G would day.
BTW that G Manifesto did an amazingly accurate data sheet on Montreal, starting from what entrée to take at such a restaurant to what street is shorter to get by with the taxi, but that's another subject.
WHERE TO GO IN QUEBEC CITY
If I where you I would go during the Winter Carnival big big festival, but I don't think it will change game that much since it seems many tourists are couples from 40 to 60.

Great post I can attest, online gaming works great in Montreal too. St-Edouard is a great place but french might be important there I have a lot of friends who hang out there who doesn't speak well in english or who don't like english guys (rare I know..)

Saint-Edouard on Friday night is crazy it's being going on for two years and I can't believe it's still strong I'm in a LTR and living with my girlfriend, but if I was single honestly I could pull 75% of the time there with 8+ girls, while elsewhere even with stellar game and good looks it's what 15%? Night life is shit now everywhere.
In that bar however I would say easily 55 out of the 56 girls that can be there are French, if not 56.

Yeah, when it opened (2012? don't remember and in 2013) it was mostly Quebecers but its probably more diverse now. It is also a place where status, good looks, muscles, nice clothes, style will get you far..definitely not for the average University student.

My plan is to arrive in Montréal on Sunday, stay in Québec for Wednesday and Thursday, and then spend the next two days in Montréal again before departing on the Sunday. I wish I could stick around for two weeks but that's just not feasible at this point. And yes, I will be around for the Winter Carnival, but I haven't really scanned out Québec yet. That I'll get to soon.
So far I'm thinking to stick around Mont-Royal for my days in Montréal, although I plan to be closer to Boulevard St. Laurent on the weekend days. I'm still not certain if Vieux Port would be a better base for the weekend, but perhaps not. For reference, I'm a younger guy that tends to avoid higher end institutions and can only deal with so much of a club atmosphere. I think I'll need all the energy I can muster judging on what I've read about the city. It's only my second time there, but my first real trip with any significant time.
In terms of venues for the first few Montréal days I'm thinking of hitting up some of the Mont-Royal bars and probably head to places like Factory and Brasserie des Pins. I've been thinking more about logistics than venues so far, though.
Also, my French is intermediate for all intents and purposes. I'm not fluent and have a little problem with fast speakers, but I can converse quite well and many native speakers have commended me on my speaking ability. Gaming is another deal, but I'll look into some less formal and slang words for sure.

Weird, never heard of Saint-Édouard but will definitely try it next week. I usually strictly game in Outremont / Mile End as it's close to my campus (the one with the erected phallus) and bars I hit up.
Foufounes électriques might be good if you just want to get the lay but there much better options, namely: Waverly, Fitzroy, Mme Lee, Datcha, Flyjin, Philémon. Alexandraplatz during the summer can be crazy.
Boudoir in Québec has the best looking art school / hipster girls in the province. 8's and up everywhere.

Vieux Port is good many places, but it's more high end/mafia hang arounds game, chicks there sometimes are looking for older providers but like anything good game can work.
Mont Royal is not what it used to be for nightlife because of municipal politics loog story, but would be the best place by far to stay and street game.
Some bars like La flèche are good.
With your profile young modium budget etc you could score good on that street.
When I say Montreal is good Im talking about the success you can achieve living here, hustling around, but except the bars I mentioned it's not as magical as it was cause nightlife is in serious decline like I said, but hey it's still better than many other places, I only hit 8.5 and up cause I'm older but if your young and hunting I guess nightlife can still be good anyhow keep Saint Edouard secret on Fridays for some reasons the ratio is still good 2 years strong it's odd, naturals have good success there as well because the girls are so open and DTF.
Boudoir in QC CITY be careful a lot of lumbersexual guys on the main floor street position of the bar who drink heavily and fight some times because they have no game and no sex at the end of the night Ive seen players get slugged there beware, stay close of the dance floor people in QC CITY more clicky more scarcity even though the girls are hotter than MTL no doubt remember QC girls were prostitutes coming here from France !!!!!!!!

Commission des liqueurs I was there on a Saturday night and it was top 5 lifetime most beautiful girls in a bar with other nights Amsterdam NYC Helsinki, this being said you can hit a bad night anytime anywhere.

Got into town a few hours ago, changed my clothes and went to watch the Super Bowl at one of the bars on Crescent. I'll spend some time scheming the next few days before I head to sleep. The cold can really sap one's energy, even with all the stylish women mulling about.
