Alright, don't know if this has been mentioned here before, but George Stephanopoulos has been caught up in the Clinton Cash scandal. He made sizable donations to the Clinton Foundation without disclosing this to his viewers.

This $50,000 was later upped to $75,000. Originally set to host a GOP debate in New Hampshire in February, he has now recused himself.

I found it rather funny that he was vigorously defending the Clintons and how ambivalent he was when news of the donations broke out a few weeks ago, even over the objections of some of his own left-leaning guests who had the gumption to admit that they were at the very least not kosher. Now it's all become very clear.

Breitbart humorously remarks that Brian Williams has suffered far more for his own lies than Stephanapoulos has for his. Williams was suspended for six months without pay and his career is probably torpedoed now for essentially just puffing himself up and trying to make himself look like a badass.

Stephanapoulos on the other hand lied about a clear conflict of interest that breached his journalistic integrity and was set to frame a debate over people he had clear bias against and therefore defraud the American public in the political marketplace. Nothing has happened to him so far.

Goes to show the truth in this culture - tell a little like and you'll be punished severely, tell a big lie and you'll get a slap on the wrist at best.

Eventually if Hillary secures the nomination, she could be the Romney of the Democrats, unlikeable, not really many people's first choice, and not worth getting up from bed to bother voting for. I almost guarantee that's exactly what would happen with a Hillary nomination.

Some people think the changing demographics will make Republicans lose a few elections until they can rebuild their base, but it's highly likely that the Democrats might just not find another good candidate to run for a while and Republicans will win by default by running a non crook. Republicans are better running a don't fuck up game if Hillary is their opposition.

funny enough, this same sentiment is why the original authors of the constitution went with an electoral system...one where state senate's voted for the people that would represent them in choosing the next president vs. a direct vote of the public.
