Anyone watching Miami self destruct. Without Bosh that side is going nowhere. Wade is just pitiful tonight. Looks like Spurs all the way this year

A contact says Wade may have hit some skins before the match hence his lack of completion.

Now, you guys see how important Bosh is..you said he sucks...and is replaceable..

Don't sleep on OKC's young legs. Would love to see Indiana beat Miami, but the next game will be a war if they lose tonight.

NBA playoffs - LifeBeginsAt40 - 05-17-2012

I think Hibbert for Indiana got as many rebounds as the whole Miami team combined [Image: dodgy.gif] Spurs are the side to beat now they don't have their bogey side Memphis in the playoffs. They swept Utah and I think they will wrap up the Clippers in no more than 5 games. They have a lot of age in their roster but with quick 4-5 game series they should be able to keep fresh enough when the big series (West Conf and NBA final) come around

NBA playoffs - at350zguyy - 05-18-2012

anyone notice lance stephenson doing the choke sign after lebron missed a tech?

idiots. i cant stand the pacers, but i will always be happy to see the heat lose.

now that the bulls are out i would be ecstatic if OKC won the whole thing.

Par injuries and referees fcuking up the game flow and getting key players in foul trouble on bullshyt calls, my bet is that OKC will take it all.

Watching la vs okc. Amazing okc is leading with all the bs calls in favour of the yellow. Maddening!!

kobe had almost as many free throw attempts as the entire OKC team!

that said, okc failed to put this one away when they had a few chances to do so down the stretch. a shot rushed by harden, a turnover by perkins, and a miss by durant did them in.

Don't get your hopes up for the referees to stay out of it. It is crazy how much they can control the outcome of the game.
I truly believe that the NBA has a plot to stretch the series out and make them all competitive as much as they can without making it look obvious. What do you all think about this?
I really liked how the Indiana staff called out Miami and all the superstar calls that they get. It brought a lot of attention to that situation and might be why Indy has the advantage right now.

NBA playoffs - Vacancier Permanent - 05-19-2012

I don't see anyone stopping the Spurs this year to win the title. Down 24 and end up winning it comfortably. These guys are a cut above anything and everyone else out there. 18 wins in a row, simply unreal.

NBA playoffs - LifeBeginsAt40 - 05-19-2012

Have to agree VP. Wondering who can take a game off them, let alone a series at the moment

NBA playoffs - at350zguyy - 05-20-2012

san antonio is a model of consistency. a lot of the front office staff of the thunder came from the spurs organization, including GM Sam Presti.

those 2 organizations are the future of the western conference IMO.

How about Durant hitting one right in Artest's face yesterday to seal the deal?

I think vs OKC would be a good series that's probably going to happen. I got Spurs taking it 4-2. Then the O'Brien after, not a team in the East has enough weapons and experience to beat more than once.

Stern did him dirty. The NBA is fixed and has been for a while. Stern gave New Orleans a olive branch with Davis.

NBA playoffs - the chef - 05-30-2012

i don't see anyone beating SA. they are literally superior in every aspect of the game. well coached, experienced, all star players, role players who defend and hit the open shot; i just cannot see anyone stopping them.

NBA playoffs - Giovonny - 06-05-2012

Tim Duncan is too old. He can not overcome to size and athleticism of the Thunder big men. Ibaka-Perkins-Collison are better then Duncan-Diaw-Splitter. Remember that the Grizzlies swept the Spurs in the first round last year. They just can beat a team that is faster, longer, and more athletic then them. This is not 2007.

That being said, I hope they win 2 in a row and prove me wrong. I am a Spurs fan. But, I did pick the Thunder to go to the Finals:

I say it will be a Heat-Thunder finals.

And, I even broke down my reasons why:

Quote: (04-12-2012 11:03 AM)Giovonny Wrote:

I have always loved the Spurs and I still root for them but they are finished. Mostly, because Duncan is too old. He can barely jump anymore. He can't defend the rim. He can't compete against the best big men anymore. They have no one else to help Timmy down low, Splitter is not ready, Diaw is big enough, Blair is too small, they have no post defense. This is why Zach Randolph kicked their ass in the playoffs last year.

If you can't control the paint, you can't win in the playoffs.

I think the Thunder will close this series out in game 6. But, I hope the Spurs prove me wrong.

Now, on to the East. I think Miami will beat Boston. Why? Because Miami has the best player in world. And, they have another guy who is a top 10 player in the world. That, in combination with the fact that Paul Pierce is hurt, Ray Allen is hurt, and Garnett is old, tells me that the Heat should go to the Finals.

My Finals pick? Well, I will wait for the conference finals to end before I say anything, but right now, I'm leaning towards OKC to win it all!

Moma, Hoops, 350, CJ - Would love to hear your thoughts!

NBA playoffs - Moma - 06-05-2012

Gio -

I agree with you. I have fam in the US and we debate on this often. In and out of slumber, I watched the Spurs vs Thunder series. OKC have young legs and made the necessary adjustments to accomodate for their initial two losses in San Antonio.

Age plays a factor here. *Older heads hate to hear about age being a factor*

In terms of finals, I am going to lean towards OKC because they have a more complete team.

Apart from Lebron and Wade, I don't see anyone that can give Thunder trouble. The other team members are...so so..and I don't even know if Chris Bosh will return from his strained stomach.

In a nutshell, I will give it to OKC to take it all.

NBA playoffs - Timoteo - 06-05-2012

Before the series started, I had the Spurs in 6. Some of my friends thought the Spurs would sweep them, or take 5 games max. I thought the fact that old or not, the Spurs' execution, and the fact that OKCs front line really couldn't play head-up with Duncan would be a big factor. Also, offensively, OKC relies too much on jump shots, and don't have an offensive weapon in their front court to force Duncan to spend himself on defense. But OKCs frontcourt surprised me, and OKC was able to break down their defense. If you look at the Spurs' roster, it really isn't THAT old outside of Duncan and Ginobili. Parker JUST turned 30, and is still quick, though he has a lot of mileage on him. The rest of the Spurs' roster is relatively young, and in the end, THAT might be what gets them, though they've played well earlier in the playoffs. I wasn't surprised that OKC got the two games at home, because I thought they'd get two games in this series, but last night shocked me a little. They took 3 straight from a team that won 20 straight games.

NBA playoffs - at350zguyy - 06-05-2012

I had a feeling the Thunder would take this series in 7 games. Now it looks like it could be 6. Serge Ibaka has been shooting jumpshots with a lot of confidence. More than I've ever seen him shoot with.

Gotta pull for OKC since one of my friends is on their coaching staff. Also love watching Durant, Harden, Ibaka, and Perkins. Some of Westbrook's shot selection last night wasn't very good. He had 3 or 4 turnovers in the 4th quarter as well. If OKC is to win the whole thing, I think Westbrook has to be more picky about shot selection than settling for jumpshots late in the shotclock after he dribbles most of it out.

NBA playoffs - at350zguyy - 06-05-2012

Regardless of what happens, we are seeing a changing of the guard in the West. Oklahoma City is playing little brother to San Antonio, and this is the equivalent of little brother kicking big brother in the nuts.

NBA playoffs - loosewin - 06-05-2012

^^ agreed. Still think the spurs will pull it off.

Lets see what happens tonight. Hope Boston brings it

Yes, we all know that Westbrook's decision making with the ball is the most important thing for the Thunder. I hope he commits himself to being a good passer.

huge win for Boston tonight.
