Bumping this to remind the membership:
Do not use your RVF username anywhere else.
Those of you with distinct names, especially with unique spelling or numbers, can easily be Googled to find other accounts.
My RVF username is for my first truck. Whoops
Oops. My username is my real name.

Shit, same problem. You think they'll notice I'm over three hundred years old?

I think a small but important step towards increasing forum security would be to make the details for rep points only visible to people with a certain minimum amount of posts, or at least only to registered members. Often these details contain pieces of information that could help to doxx members, such as the city they are based in, or when they were traveling where.
Currently, even non-registered visitors to the forum can see those.
For example, to search a member's posts or threads, likes received or likes given, you need to register as a member. But rep details can be seen by anyone.
Maybe it's possible to improve on that.

Roosh, I'd recommend getting a good database admin to consult on how to best maintain privacy for members and clean out data that doesn't need to be kept if this hasn't been done already. E.g. pruning private messages older than X amount of time, cleaning IP addresses of users active more than X years, etc. Just throwing some ideas at the wall.
Please do so. Especially the part about deleting banned members id's, old PMs, etc. I'm pretty clean but worry about others.

just a reminder - the keyword search on the PM's doesnt work as well as it should.
To ensure ultimate safety and privacy, please go through your PMs one by one and delete them as necessary.
It's a pain in the ass, sure, but its better than getting your info out there.
Also, can a mod or admin please message me? There are some posts I need to edit, but cant because of the 60 minute rule. I dont want to give these people even an inch

I have a somewhat odd security question involving RSS feeds. I subscribe to the ROK feed through a reader service that uses my more familiar online handle. Does anyone know if rss can be traced back like that? I've unsubscribed for the time being.

I created a burner email account on
Gmail.
I just tried to access that account, and Gmail tells me that there's been
"suspicious activity" and that I cannot access my account without providing a phone number.
Is this Google's way of extracting phone numbers from Gmail users? Is it just FUD?
Has anyone else experienced something similar?
