I'm curious about the IP block. So if you go into Starbucks, you still can't create an account?

Going to Starbucks would change the IP and therefore you could go in again. I remember from old IRC times with dial-up connection, when you got IP ban then you needed to disconnect the connection and dial in again and you could go again. But I think even now with the broadband then you make restart to your router you will get a new IP, unless you have ordered a fixed IP which you need in case your running a server or smt from your house.

A 37 year old Cougar just posted picture of her inbox after she was away for 3-4 days on her POF profile.
She had over 300 messages.
After seeing that I just deleted my account. For older guys internet dating is next to impossible these days unless you go over sea's.

I know it doesn't change the IP but whenever i have been blocked from POF, changing IP hasn't worked, only changing browser(regardless of IP) as worked.

I installed the POF app the other night. Within about 30 minutes the "meet me" alerts started coming in, and I thought "Hey! This might be worth a shot!"
I checked it out 24 hours later and I had 12 "meet me" alerts waiting. But because I'm not paying, I had to check out their user names through the search box one by one.
11 out of 12 of them were BBWs. There was one woman who was pretty good looking but was 38 and looking for a husband.
I scrolled through some of my "matches" and it had to be some of the worst talent i've seen. Most of my matches on OKCupid look stellar by comparison. Lots of BBW/divorced/single mom prole women out in the sticks working as nannys or waitresses or at Dunkin' Donuts, describing themselves as "hopeless romantics" looking for their prince to sweep them away. "Not here for hookups..."
Even the attractive women looked trashy. I found about 5 or 6 women I wouldn't mind meeting up with after browsing for a while, and sent a few messages but got nothing back. I feel sort of embarrassed even being seen on this app...think I'm gonna delete it...

POF were I live is definately mostly lower class women, especially considered to OKC, but filter by body type and there are a good amount of passable women down to fuck with minimal effort.

Now the age gap limit is 11 years. What bullshit white knightery.
We must protect those innocent virginal 18 year old (adult) women from the eeeeeevil 30-somethings, but we can have ads for fucking cougar sites all over our banners.
How to get betas to sign up for your paid service:
"8 women want to meet you and 6 women liked your profile! To find out who they are, sign up for our paid service!"

11 years? I would not have had a relationship of nearly 2 years with me ex whom I met on PoF. She's 12 years younger.
I've been perma-banned from PoF for some reason.
I cannot apply the only bit of dating advice that my father taught me: 'divide your age in half and add seven'. PoF has banned that old bit of wisdom.

Most of the age gap hook-ups on PoF involves older women.
White knight conservatives just can't admit that historically, older men involvement is more likely to produce longterm, fertile relationships. Older women encounters are 90% for infertile sex.
Marriageable men in their 30s need to note that online, women their age can play the dual strategy of carousel riding with thirsty younger men while holding out for a man with means 'to commit.'

I've uninstalled POF, it's a waste of time here. The talent is crap, it's full of outter suburban single mums, divorcees and general bogans. Every time I got a girls number on there it turned out she lived ages away from me.
I think I only managed to meet up with one girl from there and it din't work out.
Complete waste of time.

You're goddamn right. Like how on OKC if you fall a few years out of the age range, you get locked the fuck out of the profile. Absolutely the stupidest "feature" on there. We all know that even though a girl will have a desired age range in mind, it can be changed with the right tweakin' - but not if you get blockaded right off the bat by a gaywad trafficstop.

Does OKC filter by age difference generally now? I thought the age range the women were interested in was just a suggestion, and the site left it up to the user to adjust their filter settings.
I'm in my mid 30s, and while I haven't managed to pull women this young I've gotten a few replies to openers on OKC from women who are 21, 22, 23...who had their max set at like 30 or 32. Youngest I've managed to get out on a date was 24.
And I've also gotten bitched out by a couple where I was just a few years out of their "range" and they were all "YEAH YOU'RE TO OLD MUTHAFUCKA."
So I'm not suire that they do any "automatic" filtering. However, if a woman is in her early 20s and has her age of interest rage also in the 20s, I don't bother since I know the chances of a reply are very slim.
I think I plan on being the same age I am now for about the next two years.

The one nice thing about POF is that as a man, none of their paid features appear to be that important. While you can't play the Tinder match game called "meet me" with women who've swiped on you, you can still see their user names, run a search for the profile, and send them a message if you want.
Paying also lets you see if they've read your message or not, but who cares? All that matters is if you get a response and can have a brief conversation and then move off-site.
And I guess it makes you appear higher in the list of "matches". Woohoo, more tubbies swiping right.

As I think a forum member mentioned somewhere, many women doing online dating either fall into two camps - the "I love online dating" camp, or the "I hate online dating" camp.
OKCupid seems to be mostly full of the former camp, where you have a lot of college educated urban "monogamous" chicks going on tons of dates, being entertained, banging the guys that interest them and nexting the ones that don't. These women tend to swing more socially liberal, alternative, artsy, etc.
POF seems to be mostly full of the latter camp - single women who are giving online dating a shot because they are stuck out in the suburbs for some reason (older/divorced/single mom) and the single male talent pool is small.
They have a bad attitude about it and the few thin ones who have responded to my openers have had very high expectations for what they have on offer. The type of opener that usually gets results on OKCupid doesn't go over well with these women at all - they're essentially humorless, they have tons of guys (who they'll never bang) sending them the usual ass kissing openers evey day, and they get pissy if you make it seem like you're the one qualifying them, or even just try to talk to them like a normal person.
I am getting responses though, which is more than I can say for OKC at the moment so I think I'll stick with it for a while

The whole thing about "Online Dating", is you have to do it right. Remember women do the choosing in the dating game... so what do you think happens online. Sure she may have her inbox flooded with chumps and rookies. But she will be browsing profiles for WHAT SHE IS LOOKING FOR. Remember for online dating you have to build a power profile that will be ATTRACTIVE to women. If you do it right women will come to you. I'm not saying you have to be some drop dead gorgeous to get women messaging you. You have to put your best foot forward and realize your online dating profile is an advertisement. Your putting yourself out there in the digital world, like you would in the real world. Are you gonna have a cheesy bio, some half naked selfies, and expect attractive women to respond to that? When her inbox is flooded and is just using Online dating probably for a ego boost. Separate yourself from the competition and realize your dating profile is an advertisement. If you do it right, you will succeed. The result will vary for each individual but you will get what you deserve at the end of the day.
Some people claim this and that is dead blahblahblah, but regardless im still getting results on all these sites. Just make sure you do online dating right and you will be happy. It's safe to say 90% of men are not doing it right and they wont get any results.
