Yea i hear you... I don't really mind paying, as part of my game so far has been the suite (got upgraded to the presidential suite)... I just have to make sure they don't say shit when I register a different girl tonight...

I seriously doubt they will say anything. Just don't get surprised if these girls start hanging around your hotel. It's a problem that two words can solve, Tia Tania. When I go there next month, I'l be in an apartment and am still considering taking girls to Tia Tania.

Dominican Republic - Merenguero - 11-14-2015

Can someone please educate me on the Santo Domingo metro? I haven't been back in six years and never remember a metro even being there. I'm staying in Naco and basically need to know what stop I will get on the metro and how to get to Acropolis, Blue Mall, and any other malls. I don't think I'll be spending time at the malecon. Too many annoyances.

Dominican Republic - Merenguero - 11-15-2015

I'm going to try to catch some boxing with local Dominican fighters when I'm there. The problem is the Dominican Republic is notorious for being loaded with tomato can boxers, so if you have a guy with some talent, running up a great record, he may not be tested and fix his flaws in the Dominican Republic, then may find out the hard way what his flaws are when he gets to the United States or wherever.

Dominican Republic - pescobar86 - 11-15-2015

No clue on the metro... Only been here a few days and leaving this morning for jarabacoa.

Picked up third notch last night. Ass for days...

Trip Report – Las Terrenas, DR
Happy #*%^! New Year to my fellow Rooshers!
I have been in both Havana and the DR recently. I will get around to posting my third Havana trip report in another thread. While I make some comparisons between DR chicas and their Havana counterparts in this post, I am mainly writing to brief you guys on a piece of paradise that I found. While this is a good area to not only to shore or to engage a semi-pro/pro, but also, an ideal place to bring one of your regular girls with you for a relaxing holiday.
Las Terrenas - Samana, DR
Samana is a small peninsula in the north east part of the DR. The closest airport is AZS (Samana – el Catey). It is a 30 minute drive to las terrenas. There are a number of other villages further afield (probably just as nice) in this area such as: Limon, Samana, Las Galareas. The whole area is designed for beach, sun and fun. There is a wide variety of eating options in the town and along the beach – in addition, there are a couple of fully stocked grocery stores in town. There are several all -inclusive hotels in the area but I don’t recommend as there are a variety of condos/houses for rent on Airbnb. In addition to the locals, Las Terrenas is home to a sizeable expat and tourist population that hails from France, Germany, Italy, Canada, and the USA. These are not the typical tourists as they seem pretty chill, multilingual, and well behaved.
Logistics
I found a flight from Toronto on Air Canada vacations (AC Rouge ) for CAD$500 return. West jet, Air Transat also serves AZS for a similar price. Prices do go up to $1200 in high demand periods. Transfer from the Airport to surrounding villages normally costs US$100 but I found a shared transfer service for US$30 return! I was the only passenger each way and they honoured the price – be sure to tip! Check out http://www.tropiclink.net (DR airport transfers). I don’t recommend flying into SDQ and doing the trip in the highway, while a beautiful drive, has a lot of accidents. You don’t need a car or moped. Everything you need like beach, bar or town is easily accessible by foot. You can take busses to the outlying areas or rent a scooter. If going off road there are the 4WD utility vehicles. A car isn’t necessary. In any event, be careful as there are a lot of motor bikes and the like on the road with crazy drivers behind the wheel. There is a saying…”if you hit a local keep going” - the locals will kill you.
Apartments
I rented a condo in the centre of town for CAD$600 week. It was small but well equipped and had good logistics. There are a variety of price/quality options in the area both in the town and in the 3Km stretch of beach around the town. I opted to cook a lot of my meals to save money – the CDN dollar is in the toilet at present.

Safety
The area is generally safe given the local economy dependence in tourists and expats. Take all the usual precautions – money in shoe, fake wallet, bring what you need… The locals are friendly and a bit of Spanish goes a long way. Having said that there are a lot of crimes of passion in the DR and people are poor. It is legal to carry a knife and gun in the DR. Best to interact with the expats and the locals in their social circle. I spent some time dancing with some of the semi-pros (after telling them I wasn’t going to be a client), bought them drinks and they were upset with me when I wouldn’t pay them for their time. The girls were quite upset and acted aggressively – is switched to mixing with the expats at that point. From what I can tell the locals aren’t quite as savvy as those in Havana at ripping off tourists – maybe because they have a job of some sort?
Bars/Chicas
The main bar in town is Bar La Bodega. It gets going around 11pm every night. At high season many girls come in from Santo Domingo for a “working holiday.” Girls are mixed races ranging from negrita, mulatta, and Latina. Also of all shapes and sizes. I find the girls in Havana slimmer and more educated than in the DR. The DR is a rough place and I sense that these girls have given and received some violence in the course of their young life. Havana girls are scared to death of the cops -violence involving a tourist is rare in Cuba. In the DR there are lots of examples of Johnny tourist getting killed, robbed by a girl they were with. I didn’t score with a local girl but I was going to I would be sure to get a photo of their ID and check their purse for drugs/weapons. My sense was the girls in the DR are more hardened full timers than the many Havana chicas – as they are usually a lot of once a month semi-pros in HAV.
The other bar is Clandestino – it is in the barrio de los Pescadores a short walk away. Not sure if when it gets going but I was there for an after party until 5am one night. I also met some top-drawer DR girls there!
Most bars have dancing - salsa, bachata, merengue and reggaton. If you don’t dance learn at one of the studios in the town. Drinks in the bars cost RD 150 – bartenders are really appreciative if you tip them RD50.
During the Day
Not much to do except sleep in and go to the beach. There are a couple of dance studios in the town. One is in Bar La Bodega the other is up near the bank complex and is called “by-Bolivar”. You will not only learn to dance there but also meet other foreigners.
The beach is tranquil and spans several KM each way from the town. There are a variety of day beach and dining/bar options. Also lots of girls that I saw at Bar La Bodega cruising the strip – (good for pipelining?)
There are plenty of tour companies for excursions of various difficulties. There were some high quality scuba outfits there as well.
My take
Las Terrenas is a laid back place to chill and an economical break from the cold Canadian winter. If I return, I will bring my own girl from Canada and look like a rock star. If I want to run around I will go to Havana.

Dominican Republic - Ruivinho - 02-26-2016

I'm going to be staying in Naco for about four weeks.

Does anybody know any decent gyms in walking proximity?
(no crossfit or any other fads. Just straight up gym with all the FW's, machines etc.)

I saw the big Planet Fitness last time I was there but I've heard its a really strange kind of gym that doesn't allow squat racks or bench presses. I don't really want to pay extortionate prices either.

Dominican Republic - fvitterbi - 02-26-2016

Hey there, i live in Piantini now... Naco has Body Shop and Planet fitness. body shop is 150 dollars or more to inscribe.. it's nice but very high class.. like a U.S. equinox.. you can't run any gym game... planet fitness is a cheap gym, like 24 hour fitness, they have squat racks and bench presses not sure why you didn't see them.. over at Pianitini which is the more populated area, you have smart fit and then further south you have golds, that's all teh gyms in the area... Just PM if you need more info..

Don't go to the Dominican Republik
The girls are not very hot. They have bad genes & poor diets & there are many prostitutes.
Only go there if you are taking an already beautiful, feminine girlfriend with you. North coast is great

but goddammit with the hookers...

You blew it. Stick to places like Naco and Piantini and nice areas of Santiago. Try to go the highest end places possible and girls start to look better and prostitutes are few and far between. If you spend all your time in casinos, touristy places like Boca Chica, and areas like Avenida Venezuela, then yeah, girls will be ugly and prostitutes will be all over the place.

So where would you guys recommend if you had only one week to visit Dominican Republic? Which city? Safe, has some things to do and see, has hot women (not looking for hookers) ?

My knowledge of the DR is limited to a recent one week trip but if you based yourself in Santiago and took a trip to a north coast beach town such as Cabarete, I'd say you'd do alright. Spend a few bucks and join Latin America Cupid and/or Tinder plus and pipeline a week before and you should be able to line up some chicas, I hope you're Spanish is decent. Its basically the same formula everywhere, I've been doing it for years since before my RVF days:

-Pipeline girls on dating sites 1-2 weeks prior to trip
-Go to third world shit hole
-Stay in a medium to big sized city
-Stay in girl friendly hotel or Airbnb that won't cock block you
-Take multiple girls out in first 1-3 days, bang them if you can
-Take your favourite to a beach town, bang her some more
-If you have more than one favourite, rotate them in/out of the beach town with a lame excuse of your choice
-If going to Asia, bring condoms from home
-Boner pills optional and available over the counter at local pharmacies, be prepared to lay some serious pipe as Caribbean girls can take it.

If you need a girl friendly hotel in Santiago with a nice pool and decent location for $45-50 US/night, PM me.

Haha. Are these available over the counter in CO as well?

Dominican Republic - Dantes - 03-15-2017

I second Scotian's recommendation. I prefer Santiago over Santo Domingo for the girls and also the city itself. Cabarete is a nice side trip and easily accessible for Santiago (a cheap bus ride).

Finding a decent pad in Santiago with good logistics can be challenging. Hotel Matum is moderately priced and very close to the Monument. It also has two clubs connected to the hotel. Matum is guest friendly but they might charge you a guest fee. You should register with a guest and pay 3 dollars per night in advance to avoid the $25 dollar surcharge. The older gent who works at Matum is a cool guy. Tip him a few bucks and he will be a big help.

Yup, generic and legit Viagra and Cialis, I prefer the former and split a 20mg in half and am good for two days with boners like you were 15 years old. Prices vary but can be a bit pricey around $15-20 each.

In the Dominican Republic, they have La Pela, which I understand is more like cialis. I've tried all of that stuff, but never really notice a difference, so I'm not sure what works and what doesn't.

I wouldn't underestimate any DR chica, most live for today not tomorrow, it is about survival and they will go for whatever they can get. It comes down to whatever one is looking for personally. It is contradictory, but the ones really good at it, can also have a long term game, pull you in for a LTR and get you on the hook, in some cases the family is in on it and they will play along for the real end goal: $$. There are no moral hangups about it. The guy she introduces to you as her cousin could be her boyfriend or husband! The gringo is always fair game, there is no conscience involved. When in doubt ask yourself how a local Dominican dude with the same means as you would handle the situation.

Machismo is what those chicas know and expect. Show them a good time, and until you know them well, know how they live and who they hang out with, I'd think twice before you pay for non-essentials because the end result will be they will see you as a pendejo, a situation difficult if not impossible to recover from. Saying yes to things that don't logically make sense (Panama when it would take years of savings to buy a ticket) puts you on a fast track to attaining that status and opens the floodgates to all kinds of requests.

I'm bringing this over from another thread. Excellent summary.

Dominican Republic - benji - 04-08-2017

Honestly this sort of stuff kind of sucks, i'm more interested in a long term thing than just f*cking around and the chicks in Colombia and DR are suspect as. Seems like it's most of the time the 9's that are up to no good and untrustworthy the most. I've got a girls number in Medellin and her display pic is some guy with a love heart on it! After laughing and saying what's this picture all about? Oh that's my cousin, he just complated his University course, obviously a lie, when sinking her number to my FB and Instagram she has pics of the dude and it's obviously the bf. She was soo banging hot but pissed me off, at least make it so i don't know! haha. Same deal withe Dominican chicks, was talking to a few and they tell me no i'm single, sink number to FB and Instagram and again pics of them with dudes obviously their bfs, not all that smart. Another girl in Colombia hot little 18 yr old i banged first night i met her, same deal, little liar. I guess it's alright if you don't care and just wanna bang some hot chick but i'm not interested in messing around with liars.

And thats why DR and Colombia is so popular, because the 8s and 9s are just so much more accessible. Being a foreigner in those countries puts you in a priority category for them. They see you as money and/or a get out card.

Dominican Republic - Merenguero - 04-08-2017

This thread is taking a strange turn and the use of numbers needs to stop. It's just too subjective and guys like me who have high standards might be thrown off by takes of " 8's" and "9's." For the top one percent, or the top few percent, local guys have a huge advantage over foreign guys, for a number of reasons. Depending on a number of factors, there are foreign guys who can get the girls at the top, but those guys are also the top percentage of foreigners.

Dominican Republic - Sidney Crosby - 04-09-2017

What are the costs like in DR compared to other countries in Latin America?

More expensive than everywhere in Latin America except for Panama in my experience. Ironically, poorer than most other places. Much cheaper than everywhere in the United States.

Dominican Republic - benji - 04-13-2017

I agree maybe someone you think is a 9 i'll think is a 7 and vice versa, it's all subjective and not really important in the discussion if you want to get fussy. Change mine to a 7 in your head if you like. Same thing with someone that say someone is attractive but the next person thinks they aren't.

Anyway. I'm more interested to know if anyone has found some women in the DR to be honest and LTR or wife material? Talking to one now that i like but having read through this thread and from the experiences i had in Colombia, it's made it harder top trust chicks these days.

Dominican Republic - Gótico - 04-13-2017

I was there a few weeks ago, but it was for a wedding in an expensive resort town. My time in Santo Domingo, the capital, was limited, and I wasn’t even hoping for the flag. I don’t know if you lads want to hear about it.

I realise this is a year late, but I suspect you won’t be the last one asking, although I thoroughly recommend securing other means of transport; it’s disorderly and ill-maintained, but that’s nothing unusual for RVFers in Rome, Paris, and New York. The main issue is that, at 30 stations and two lines, it’s very small, which means you’ll have to rely on two unsexy means: walking and taking the bus. With the country’s heat, walking to and fro is a fool’s undertaking; it’s the perfect way to end to end up all sweaty before you’ve done anything. I didn’t try the municipal buses, which, like Assad’s, are green, but I can’t imagine them as ideal or punctual.

The good thing for you is that the main shopping centres ― Blue Mall, Acrópolis, and Ágora ― are close to each other. I don’t know how good it is for business, but it eases transport concerns. Once you get to Acrópolis, Blue Mall is about five minutes walking. I didn’t walk to Ágora, but it was a 15-minute drive from Blue Mall. Now, the closest station to Blue Mall and Acrópolis, which are both on Winston Churchill Avenue, is about two kilometres away. The station after that one is Pedro Mir, which is where you’d get off to go to Ágora. The station following, Freddy Beras Goico, is the only one even remotely close to Naco.

My recommendation is to stay away. I haven’t been to Bangkok or Taipei, but I do know of their rail systems, and the Santo Domingo Metro, with its limited scope and care, isn’t nearly as useful. I was curious to see it, but it’s an unfortunate victim of underfunding and negligence. Give it to Branson, I say!

Dominican Republic - pressplay - 04-13-2017

The Santo Domingo metro is underestimated by many foreigners. Unfortunately it doesn't connect central Piantini and that's one of the reasons why the traffic is especially bad on Churchill and Lincoln. However many places are easily accessible by the metro, almost all universities, Sambil/Agora...

Riding the metro is cheap and comfortable, plus it offers occasional daygame opportunities. During rush hours it's way faster than Uber. Living close to a metro station also makes it easier to get girls to come to your place. Something to consider when looking for an apartment.

Gótico, which experiences exactly brought you to that conclusion?
