Can someone explain the Korean picture culture?
That Korean girls are always taking pictures with their phones...just on their phones period.

Koreans are on their phone way more than American girls. But they are nowhere near as lame as Americans.

Some times they don't even speak English.

Last week I was feeling lucky.. and decided to hit Busan and go to the Casino in the Paradise Hotel.


I don't know the complete law, but I think its illegal for Koreans to gamble and go to Casinos.
The casino is full of Chinese and Japanese people. Surprisingly not many westerners. Probably cause the majority are English teacher that aren't making much.
I had some decent money to lose.

I came to the roulette table with about 400 dollars.
I've got a little system I use.. which is a bit complicated and a bit pure luck, but it keeps my loses to a minimum, and if I hit big, I cash out.
Either way I walked away with about 1200 dollars in maybe an hour and half on the first night.

Hit up the main strip because I didn't wanna go far.
I went to one fancy club, in the bottom of a Hotel.
Its called Abyss. I've never been there.. but a Korean guy told me to try it out.. but said it was a little too expensive for him.

Only problem was, I came far too early and the place was empty. I stayed long enough to finish a drink before leaving, When I came back at like 2am. The place was closing.. they said a fight broke out and they were shutting down for the night.

I ended up going to the easiest place in every city.
There is at least one of these chains in every major city. Sometimes there are 2 of the same bar on the same street.
Thursday Party

Its the closest thing to a college style pub in Korea. They have foosball and beer pong tables inside.
Its usually a mix of lazy English teachers and Koreans that want to get into western culture. This makes it easier to strike conversations or play games.
I seem to look like some one famous or just give off a good vibe cause a group of Korean girls wanted to take pictures with me.
It can't be solely cause I'm Black. The same treatment doesn't happen to my other friends.

I'm also dressed a bit more stylish than the average guy here. Which isn't much.
I just had a leather jacket, nice jeans and dress shoes. ( My Casino outfit)

Turns out the girl that spoke absolutely no English wanted me the most.
Spur of the moment, I rented an apartment on Airbnb, and brought her back before she could google translate any more questions.
I've learned that sometimes.. You just have to call the cab mid conversation and get the girl in before her friends have a chance to deliberate.
Korean women claim that they don't like Korean guys because they are thirsty and aggressive...but when a western guy pulls the same aggressive move and physically moves them around a bit.. they get wet.

I had a girl a week before get testy. She was mad that my friend was giving her friend attention. and every time she got off her bar stool would grab her mid hop. by her back pocket and sit her right back time.

This night I went out to Billy Jean.

I've mentioned this is probably the best Bar/Club on the beach area.
You won't find many ugly people here.
They have a live band during the early night and good music as the night goes on.
Drinks are relatively cheap but expensive enough to keep the riff raff out...
There's a lot of classy looking Korean girls trying to get lose in here and a lot of really hot girls, that aren't into the super rave clubs.

The salted in westerners usually look much better than what you find at the little bars on the strip also.


I made friends with a South African guy earlier in the night. We ran into some Korean guys that looked like they were out of a boy band. Girls were all over them, but they were a bit shy to talk.
Theses dudes has 2 bottles of Moet and treated us to drinks.
Luckily we are at the bar instead of a table. We could pull chicks near us over an over because the flow of traffic near the bathroom.

When It rains in Busan.. You might as well just call it a day.

sourcecode, Excellent report! Makes me want to go back to Korea. I think that I have been to that bar in the pic that you posted. If so, me and the group that I was with for the night got challanged in a game of dart by a group of korean guys, who ever lost would buy a round of drinks to the winners. For some reason my dart skills always improves with some booze and I made sure that my "team" won lol. The girls cheered for me and the guys where cool and gave a congratulations, bought drinks for all of us and integrated into our group. That night was a blast haha!
A side note, I have read you posts about Korea (and Hungary) and you write here that you wonder why girls would come up to you and take pictures, not just because your black (basicly all black guys that I have met there didnt get any attetion from girls, except from two who could speak korean). From what I can tell it sounds to me that you are quite good looking (no homo) since you seem to get a lot of attention wherever you go from various different groups. This is not just for you but I think we all have to realize what we got and to work with that. Might be our voice, bodyl-anguage or smile, whatever, realize it and use it to you advantage.
You also seem to move around in a smooth way between people that might give that urbane vibe that girls all over the world likes, good thing to remember.

Most westerners that I have seen in Korea dont get much out of the girls there, they just clown around agressivly approaching them (without any real game since most of them probably cant pull back home) beliving that their exotic-factor will be enough to get them laid, but no.
The place often needs some time and you to adapt to it (which basicly have been covered in this thread). I got most of my lays there from having friends that get me into social-cirlcles, arranging blind-dates, and wingman me at the club.

They also tend to be socially awkward sometimes and your dates will consist of talking about her stupid idol groups and you start getting voices in your heads encouraging you to stab her with the dinner fork. However, there are some gems within this community and the few pretty ones can be worth it. I've banged one such girl before, I believe she was from Malaysia. Would not shut up about some boy band over dinner so I figured when I got her over to my place, I played one of their slow love songs on my laptop over the internet. With Japan just an hour away, it make senses that Korea sees tons of Japanese tourists. Any bros in South Korea have this issue..Sometimes I meet a girl and it goes well. We promise to hang out and she does this thing where she doesn't check her kakao. But as you guys probably know there is a number one next to the name that shows if they read the message or not. I have seen other Koreans on their phone and it seems like they intentionally do not click on it so that they appear to not have read the message. I have seen people on the subway with the notification right there but they just don't go into their thing to check it.

I have tested this out. I sent a message to a girl asking her a question, a few days went by and she didn't answer. I put her on blast and suddenly she is free and gets back to me. She claimed that she was very busy yet insta responds when I put her on blast. WTF man!? This is a huge problem with girls I meet at language exchanges or meet online. I have had girls on language exchange sites who seem perfectly happy with just kakao messages but they are always " busy " ( then why did you message me bitch! ) .

You probably have been to Thursday's.
In both Daegu and Busan, there are two on the same street.
One is more food oriented and the other is more drinking oriented.

But as far as I know, both of them have table tennis and darts.
The drinks are also cheap. I still don't like coming here as a main spot..But it's a great place to kick off a night before heading to better places. It's much easier to start a conversation here because I know that Koreans will usually have better English.

As for my looks..i assure you. I'm not an above average looking guy at all.

This happens a lot..Korean girls are known for being very flaky. Getting a phone number in Korea really doesn't mean much, the girls say they will wanna meet up to make the interaction less awkward but it doesn't mean that they actually wanna meet up when it really comes down to it.

If it annoys you when they play the game by not opening your messages, just do the same to them. But if she doesn't at least respond within a couple hours then you are probably done and she doesn't wanna meet up at that point. If she doesn't respond for a whole day then you are definitely done and should just start filling your pipeline with other chicks.

There's no reason to message a girl and put her on blast for not responding, that makes you look frustrated. Just move on and to the next one and keep meeting other girls, there are way too many in Korea and the weather is getting better now which makes it prime season for hunting.

Girls at language exchange often use foreign guys in order to practice their English reading and writing skills. So that's why they are down to text but not meet up.

Honestly, I wouldn't recommend meeting girls through language exchange because they are usually either 1) Foreign cock lovers or 2) girls trying to use foreign guys to practice their English. Yeah you can pull from language exchange but you will need to have good game in order to frame the interaction in a more sexual way instead of you being her language buddy.

You're better off meeting girls at the club since you know they are for sure DTF if they are showing you interest in that environment.

This has been happening to me where ever I go. Even places as close to the U.S as Mexico City. Other black guys don't quite get the same attention. I'm a dark-skinned Caribbean youth with short dreads, good style with good use of ethnic accessories and colors. I always just chalked it up to my exotic look and just went with it.

Actually... it is a form of "common courtesy."

Girls ignore messages all over the world - it means they're not interested and in their mind is better than telling a guy to fuck off. So if you put them on blast, they can just be like "oh, I didn't see your message!"

Ok, then its the vibe haha. Makes sence, and might be something to really work on, or rather to bring out. Many of my friends there have made that to a thing where they mostly game foreign girls, and opposite to what Zerdame wrote I have seen some pretty good looking ones that my friends have banged and the variety is the same as back home, but oh well I guess you are right then, why bother when there is generally higher quality k-girls all around.

Well now that Koreans are healthy and tall, I guess it's not a long shot for Kojeans to the Asian of a girls dream. But for the most part. I stand by my original observance that dudes and chicks that come to Asian cultures and are really into the stereotypes. Kpop ,anime ect...They are weird as hell.

Anecdotal evidence. A girl I work with trades her work clothes for cute little cat ear head band things. when she goes out.
At first I thought it wss a joke. But she really wears it..

That happens a lot with newer people. I went through that a bit in the beginning. I wouldn't be caught dead wearing that stupid shit on my head. Normally once people here have been here a long time that stuff wears off and people either go back to normal ways or they become a bit jaded about Koreans. I'm kind of at that point now. I have been here for two years and I was super excited to learn korean, learn the korean way, but now I'm just happy to do my job and then live my life.

the girls who were the best in bed in my experience were the ones who made out with me in public (pretty rare)

but to be honest they weren't that hot

western girls into korea seem to be getting hotter.. like 7 at best though (maybe a few 8s). that observation is based on tinder though. whenever i go out in seoul (mainly itaewon and gangnam clubs) i dont see any westerners above a 6 (did see a dimey from london but she was visiting her friend who had a korean bf). there are decent looking asians from other countries though, especially Thailand
