motherhood, in fact, increases their appetite for winning promotions

Well yeah, motherhood may increase their appetite for career success but that still doesn't change the fact that there's only 24 hours in the day, and a lot of modern careers are extremely demanding. You can only do so much. That's really what it comes down to.

Eh, just more advocacy research to support an agenda. If anyone sees it cited in a "news" article. Be sure to point that out in the comments, if available.

As a guy who has worked with many women. What's holding them back are the people the promote and hire. They don't promote on merit but instead they promote friends/ who they get along with at the time and it's not even based on work ethic. But usually it ends in a spectacular disaster and me and the guys just laughed at it. The job I currently work at where men are the bosses I'm already up for a promotion.

Wait, which is it? Two weeks ago we had this headline:

"Feminazis will rage, but three women confess they prefer babies to work"

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/articl...-work.html

The article goes on to give three anecdotes about high-achieving women who never thought it possible, but after giving birth, completely lost interest in returning to work and only wanted to be mothers.

So, one piece cites a study that says having children increases motivation for promotions, and another article cites three real-life examples of motherhood completely erasing any desire to return to work at all.

I agree, but it's largely solipsism that's at work here. Any outside influences are exactly that.

These types will yell DISCRIMINATION till they're blue in the face rather than just fucking get on with it.

If you've ever worked for or with women in authority positions in an office environment you'll notice a few things that they all have in common:

1) They all love rules. The more stringent and dogmatic the rules the better. Application of said rules will usually be biased or flawed in some way.

2) They love paperwork and mindless bureaucracy more than a third world communist pencil pusher. I'm convinced that a lot of useless paper shuffling that goes on in government and corporations is due to women middle management and human resources types.

3) They love office drama. This shit never changes.

4) They are trigger happy with lawsuits. There are a bunch of articles out there that have proven this to be true.

5) The higher up they get the more worthless and lazy they become. Fiorina the HP CEO and wannabe presidential candidate and that director of the secret service. All as useless as tits on a bull.

It's been a really long time since i've had to work with these types but I doubt it's changed much.

All true and :

6) lower IQs in upper levels 66% of MENSA level are men and 90% of upper 5% of MENSA level - some CEOs are that smart

7) they are less motivated by larger groups - competing with other men and high-potentials - women are more motivated by competition within their micro-group and even then it's less about competition of being the best, but kicking everyone to a lower level

8) less interested in abstract thought, science and analytics

9) taking time out for babies (still valid for some)

10) wanting to take less risks which does not work well, when you try to move up through the ranks

11) less creative by far - as you have correctly said sticking to rules is fine, but upper management ranks have to try new strategies

So - essentially women simply cannot compete with men unless you stifle male prowess. If you have any complaints, then complain to God, nature and the physical reality of life.

Just never, ever, ever hire a woman. Problem solved. "I can confirm there's definately no wage gap here! Now go suck a tranny dick you bunch of leftists".

Might be tough trying to hire male secretaries and receptionists, but it's worth it. Put the squeeze on women so they personally feel the pain of their support for feminism.

These points are all so damn true.

In my workplace the women are obsessed with rules and protocols. I understand the need for rules and protocols, but flexibility is key (and women for some reason tend to be extremely inflexible with this).

They tend to be obsessed with rules to the point where huge amounts of money, time and labour is dedicated to enforcing these rules and protocols, and thus innovation is hindered.

The other thing I've noticed is when women get into a position of power or authority over other staff members, they easily start power-tripping. Men are guilty of this as well, but it appears to me that women in general have no idea how to wield power or authority.

It's especially hilarious when a woman has direct authority over another female staff member. No man could even come close to how horribly some women treat subordinate female staff.

What's Holding You Back in the Workplace?

I knew after I got out of college and entered the work force that everything was a sham. This was back when the economy was booming and companies were literally throwing money away. It was as if everyone, especially the female workers, believed that it was an endless supply. Over time this has changed greatly, as companies have had to look to cut any where and every where to save a dime.

But the bad economic days are only getting started, the real bad economic times are still to come. And already women are beyond stressed out. Many have dropped out of corporate America. More have taken on less work/less pay in an attempt to get away from responsibility. The feminists scream for more women in leadership roles, but it is OTHER women who they want to take on this stress and unhappiness. The feminists scream for more women in STEM fields, but it is OTHER women who they want to take on these fields that have little to no interest to most women.

As much as women are struggling now, the bad days are yet to come. TBH, I am sort of excited to see it coming. Every time I see a stressed out frumpy unhappy over worked woman, I laugh on the inside knowing that this is the bed they made and now they get to lay in it. I am happy to know that I did not end up married to someone in such a position. If I am not wealthy enough to afford my wife to not work and focus on her feminine role, then I would never consider marriage. And any chance I get, I make sure to let these women know the worst is yet to come.

Keep voting in a bigger govt. to replace those "evil" men who loved and protected you ladies. You did a great job of turning a life of privilege into a life of hell.

What's Holding You Back in the Workplace?

Because they do unfathomably dumb shit.
I've been thinking about this all day. Earlier this morning I was having my morning coffee and reading an article in an industry newsletter at work. Turns out a girl from the same company (young, thin, blonde, WBINFW (...if not from work)) had recently won a prestigious industry award for young up and coming stars. She must have known last week that she had been shortlisted..... so what did she do a day before the company flew her out to the conference? Dyed her hair neon pink of course.... a decision that a disappointed company director later described as "inappropriate".
You can bet what you like that all the male nominees would have been suited up their very best, well knowing that they are there to represent the very best of the future of their business. I can't imagine one thinking "Oh, awards ceremony this week, I should go get a neck tatt and a nose piercing... Where the fuck is my sex pistols shirt?"

They derive their power in the workplace by the rules - not by the respect of others through hard work and innovation - so of course they hold on to them.

And, as you observed, women exercise power in the most trivial and vindictive ways possible. Bill asked Karen out on a date instead of me? Make his life hell, then go to HR and complain about his abusive language when he complains.

Here's a good one.

It's about female comedians offered the Daily News Show formerly hosted by John Stewart, now hosted by Trevor Noah

http://qz.com/513602/the-best-women-comi...gs-anyway/

Amy Schumer - "Picturing being in a building and knowing what I was going to do for five years — I love not knowing,” she explained. “And I’ve never done anything safe or to make money for that reason.”

Liza Treyger said, “I can’t imagine anything worse than business outfits and jokes about the news.

Lisa Lampanelli responded: “If you told me I had to host a late-night show I would kill myself, and I’m not even kidding.”

Tina Fey said of the host positions. “But so much of the dynamic of shows like that is like, ‘I’m a young actress,’ and if you don’t want to fuck that young actress, then why are you talking to her?”

{not that a host can change the dynamic of an interview. Ellen Degener...wait might be a bad example}

Jesus H, I know most of the Western world still isn't aware that the wage-gap and gender-discrimination bias against women myth has been thoroughly dispelled, but when the fuck are they going to stop pissing and moaning about this shit? Probably not until there is a government mandated wage handicap put on men so we make less than women. That ought to satisfy them and their imagined victimhood.

An expensive drug habit can "increase" your appetite for promotions and pay raises, what does this say about their willingness to make the sacrifices to make it happen? That's what matters, not how much you wish for it to happen.

What's holding women back in the workplace?

Themselves and each other, in that order.

“I have a very simple rule when it comes to management: hire the best people from your competitors, pay them more than they were earning, and give them bonuses and incentives based on their performance. That’s how you build a first-class operation.”

Far from being empowered, it’s obvious that women are hired just to make up the diversity numbers. At my company the lower levels are packed with minority women (basically all East Asian), whereas just about all the VPs and above are white men.

There’s 7 women and 1 man in the cube in my corner of the office. Apart from me and a white fatty they’re all Chinese-American. The man is basically a woman too – he talks like a Valley Girl from a 1980’s movie. All they ever talk about out is fluffy toys, TV shows and food.

5 years ago I used to fill in staffing reports for the California government for my old job. I had to break out people by gender and level of education, but not by race. Things could have changed now. My company mentioned race when we had a re-org 2 years ago, which I found very strange.

My boss and her boss are both women, but I would say they’re very competent at their jobs. They’re both overweight so they weren’t hired for their looks.

Let me list the fuck ups women have done here.
1. Bringing cocaine to work in purses on Mondays.
2. Suing the organization she works for to prove a point and the get forced to resign.
3. Fucking bosses, fucking coworkers, trying to eat pussy of straight women and getting sued for sexual harassment.
4. Starting fights with everybody.
5. Calling in sick all the time.
6. Popping enough pills to tranquilize big game.
Etc. Etc.
